Greetings from Albion
I’m going to jump straight in by saying Fable II is an experience worth living for all Xbox 360 gamers. Lionhead’s game fulfils the highest expectations of what role-playing can deliver on Xbox 360. The fictitious world of Albion exists not just as a pretty picture for players to appreciate graphical detail or even become engrossed by the plot. Albion lives and breathes while sensing your every move.
What I really must stress here is how Albion and its inhabitants present such an astonishing dreamlike reality. Never routine, your curiosity is always burning. Albion resonates with potential, every blow you land or receive in combat, every deed whether generous or foul, all contributes to a grand sense of consequence. Fable II will astonish anyone who takes up the challenge. It’ll have your heart pounding, your mind racing, and on more than one occasion choking back tears because, if I’m being really honest, Fable II can get very emotional! But then there are some people who take Monopoly just as seriously. Which is not to belittle anything about Fable II whatsoever, rather forewarning that if you’re firing up Monopoly: EA Edition this weekend you’d better be prepared. Yes, your family and friends all harbour the desire to monopolise the world, one city at a time, and they will have you begging for mercy before bedtime, mark my words! Monopoly: EA Edition allows four people to compete on the same board, but this can just as easily mean four teams – especially when playing across Xbox LIVE. Having fun rarely gets more serious than with Monopoly, and the EA Edition captures all the original excitement while adding cool ideas like Get Rich Quick mini-games and offering every Monopoly board ever designed plus new ones. Look out world here I come!
