The New Xbox Experience
It’s here! Or soon will be. The date is set for the New Xbox Experience: 19 November. This fun and simple to use Xbox 360 dashboard seamlessly links your games, movies and favourite TV shows like no other home entertainment device. And in case you didn’t know or didn’t believe it the first time around, the New Xbox Experience update is free of charge, just sign on to Xbox LIVE and download.
This exciting news comes straight from the Tokyo Game Show, taking place from today and across the weekend. But that’s not all Xbox has to say to fans this week. There’s a new chapter in Halo 3 coming early 2009. Halo 3: Recon traces events leading up to the story of Halo 3, but through the eyes of an all-new hero! New campaigns. New multiplayer modes. Halo 3: Recon is going to rock! And if that isn’t enough Halo for you, the RTS Halo Wars is coming soon from Ensemble Studios. With TGS taking place in Japan, we’ve also got to hear about a follow up to Xbox 360 launch title Ninety-Nine Nights, a brand new game called Ninja Blade. The biggest, most famous Japanese role-playing games are heading to Xbox 360, among them Star Ocean: The Last Hope, The Last Remnant and of course Final Fantasy XIII from Square Enix. Meanwhile on Xbox LIVE Arcade, Japanese-produced games include Arkanoid, King of Fighters, Metal Slug 7, Meteos Wars, R-Type Dimensions and Space Invaders Extreme. As you can see there’s so much to look forward to from Japan, and these experiences join what is truly by now best and broadest Xbox 360 line-up ever, which also included Lips, You’re in the Movies, and Scene It? Box Office Smash. If all this doesn’t blow your mind it just ain’t blowable!
