Dark outside so lighten up

Hello, pleased to meet you! My name’s Graeme and I work as Community Manager here at Xbox.com. This week, since the nights are getting longer, I’ve been aiming for maximum fun with as many people as possible, rounding up family and friends to join me on Xbox 360.

Naruto

With the mischievous ninja Naruto and the entire cast of The Simpsons arriving this week, we’re off to a very good start. Naruto: Rise of a Ninja really reflects the spirit of the popular anime TV show, and is a fantastically varied adventure that’ll test your brain as well as your reflexes. The game never looks anything less than astounding and the fast-paced action can be appreciated by adults as well as younger relatives.

In The Simpsons Game you’ve got all of Springfield to explore as Homer, Marge, Bart or Lisa. You’ll have a hilarious time using their silly super powers (from flatulence to ESP) to combat classic villains from the TV show. Because the theme is kind of a parody of videogames, it allows us to revisit some classic scenarios in ridiculous ways. The Simpsons really is a game that’s as funny to watch as it is to play, so expect an audience!

Once you’ve got everyone hungry for more fire up Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground. Hawk’s has always provided a terrific skills showcase opportunity, but the basics are simple enough for anyone to try. Pro skaters, meanwhile, can concentrate on developing their in-game persona, and editing videos of themselves in action on highly customisable terrain.

Finally we have Timeshift, but save this until Granny has gone to bed because she won’t know what’s happening to her head! Timeshift is a first-person shooter that challenges you to control the flow of time to defeat enemies and solve puzzles. It’s the craziest concept since Prey, and we’re really enjoying showing this one off!

Out This Week
