Xbox 360 gets a blockbuster update!

Like a fine cheese the Xbox 360 just gets better with age. But I don’t mean that our favourite console goes a bit smelly - it literally does keep improving thanks to the regular seasonal dashboard updates!

This winter sees some extremely exciting and hugely useful upgrades to Xbox LIVE, such as enhanced navigation, the chance to add an extended biography to your profile, the option to check your friends’ Friends lists and a host of other excellent features.

I’m most excited about Xbox Originals, which allows you to download classic Xbox titles including Halo, Psychonauts, Fable and Crimson Skies – and they’re all only 1200 Microsoft Points! Selected Xbox LIVE Arcade favourites will be offered at permanently discounted prices too, including Lumines LIVE (800 Points), Small Arms and Zuma Deluxe (both 400 Points). Both of these amazing additions mean you can stock your games library with absolute classics – without having to bust open your saving account!
 
And these aren’t the only new ways to keep you busy on the long, cold nights. From December 11^th you’ll also be able to download movies in both standard and high definition, direct to your Xbox, through the all-new Xbox LIVE Marketplace Video Store! A huge range of blockbuster movies like 300, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and The Perfect Storm will be available at launch, with more titles coming down the pipes soon.

And from only 250 Microsoft Points for a standard definition movie and from 380 Microsoft Points for a high definition movie, you’ll be able to get in plenty of popcorn to keep your movie binge fuelled!

Downloadable movies and games, improved Xbox LIVE features, and an absolutely cracking games line-up – can Xbox 360 get any better? Just wait – I bet it can...
