What I wouldn’t give to be immortal! Well, I wouldn’t give my Xbox, but apart from that I mean. After playing Too Human (perhaps a little too much) I’ve really taken onboard the issues facing our hero Baldur: a Norse god protecting mankind against the onslaught of evil machines. He wouldn’t want humans getting involved with anything other than Xbox 360 either!
Too Human is among the first of a new wave of Xbox 360 games that needs to be seen to be believed, and played to appreciate just how far we’ve come here at Xbox. Game creators Silicon Knights have been crafting Too Human for over seven years, which explains why every location is so lavishly depicted. But what I love most about Silicon Knights is how they dare to be unconventional; challenging with unfamiliar control schemes, demanding that we learn in order to enjoy a unique experience. As I’ve often said, Xbox 360 works for me because of its multi-faceted nature. Too Human is special because of how ambitious and dynamically new it feels. Okay I need to toss my serious hat out the window for this next game: Hail to the Chimp. As party games go this is by far the weirdest I’ve ever played, and I’m grinning like a maniac just sitting here thinking about it. The theme is politics, but don’t let that put you off – just think of this as a bunch of morons competing for popularity by presenting the most ridiculous possible reasons to attract votes. Somewhere in the middle of all this there are mini-games to play versus or in collaboration with friends, my current favourite is literally mud slinging at rivals! Speaking of winning the vote, when it comes to natural charisma few can compete with Tiger Woods – a living legend. Few people here at Xbox can compete with me at Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09. My secret?
