Lead your team to victory!

Before a single ball is kicked during the opening games of UEFA EURO 2008  you may already have helped your country lift the trophy. You won’t yet know the strategies your coach has employed for this historic campaign, but you might have exploited those of your own.

I never get tired of Xbox 360 providing opportunities such as Electronic Arts’ routinely superb football games, and in particular the tournament editions. UEFA EURO 2008 is released for Xbox 360 on 17 April, just ahead of the real-world tournament itself. The excitement for both occasions is driving me out of my mind.

UEFA EURO 2008 builds on the superb technology behind FIFA 2008 with the new unmissable opportunity to captain your team! This new game mode is ‘Captain Your Country’, and you’ll first need to play for the attention of the coach before being selected to wear the captain’s armband. It looks set to be a glorious journey, with all 50 teams authentically presented against the backdrop of all the official stadiums of UEFA EURO 2008. Before getting to the finals you’ll need to track back to the qualifying stage (if your nerves can handle it.)

Since I don’t know which I love more sometimes, football or my Xbox 360, I love it when they are part of the same cause. Good luck to your team… especially with you in charge! (Just kidding).

Don’t forget it’s “Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2: Legacy Edition” this week too – last year’s blockbuster sequel plus additional maps from “Co-op Collection” parts 1 & 2. The 10 new missions can all be enjoyed in split-screen Co-op mode from the same console or online via Xbox LIVE.

I didn’t need another excuse to play GRAW2, but anyway I got one so… great!
