The Next Next-Generation

Film buffs rejoice!  With the advent of High-Definition DVD (or HD DVD), you can now see every wrinkle on your favourite actor’s face as home cinema leaps into the next generation with Xbox 360.

From November 7^th you’ll be able to re-live your favourite films in high definition with a picture that makes it look like George Clooney is in your living room.  From the Gangs of New York to the stirring story or Million Dollar Baby, you can make the most of your Xbox 360.

You’ve already seen the difference an HD TV makes, but with HD DVD you can make the most of it while watching your favourite films and you needn’t pay through the nose for it.  At X06, Microsoft announced that Xbox 360 gamers will be able to get their hands on the HD DVD drive for a measly €199.99/£129.99 in the UK, France and Germany.

What’s more, you also get a giant monkey bundled with the package in the form of Peter Jackson’s King King on HD DVD together with the Xbox 360 Universal Remote for a limited time.  If only you could order popcorn over Xbox Live too…
