The “Viva Piñata” Universe Revealed to the world

Meet the colourful characters living in a piñata-filled world who are getting ready to take over your TV and Xbox 360™!

Microsoft Game Studios and 4Kids Entertainment, Inc. announce “Viva Piñata,” on the 15^th of March 2006. The “Viva Piñata” universe houses an engaging cast of colourful, wild-roaming piñata animals that will entertain and challenge imaginations.

“Viva Piñata” will appeal to children and adults alike with its off the wall style and hugely engrossing environment. The “Viva Piñata” world will include a 3-D animated TV series, which will be hitting screens later this year. It’s produced and created by 4Kids Entertainment, the people behind hit shows such as Yu-Gi-Oh!^®, Pokémon^®, Cabbage Patch Kids^® and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles^®. A video game exclusively for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system is also in the works and is being developed by Rare Ltd.. It will allow gamers to create and customise piñata-filled adventures in their very own evolving world.

In this comedy series, created by 4Kids Entertainment, a cast of piñata “friends” embark on wild adventures on Piñata Island. Join the cast of appealing characters and their huge mix of personalities as they roam the island having hilarious experiences and fun times.

Set to release later this year worldwide, “Viva Piñata” is a customisable, social and spontaneous game that invites players of all ages and skills to explore an immersive world where they are challenged to create and maintain a living garden ecosystem that grows in real time.Beginning with a few basic tools, players will build and take control of their environment to attract and host more than 60 species of wild piñata, utilising hundreds of customisable elements to create their very own distinctive and unique thriving paradise.

“Viva Piñata” gameplay will evolve even more with new content available via the Xbox Live^® service and the ability to play, trade and interact with more than 2 million gamers via the online service.
