Got the Need for Speed?

With speed cameras, parking tickets and driving tests to worry about, real-world driving simply isn’t as fun any more.  Luckily, we have Need for Speed: Carbon to redress the balance, on show at the Leipzig Games Convention this year.  Coming from the same team that brought us Need for Speed: Underground and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, Carbon is bound to keep fans happy.

The previous game in the series, Need for Speed: Most Wanted proved an awesome showcase for HD visuals and wowed gamers with it’s visuals.  Need for Speed: Carbon introduces a few new effects to the formula along with a sense of speed similar to EA’s other big street racing franchise, Burnout.

NFS:Carbon

Need for Speed: Carbon offers more layers of customisation than ever before with what the team call “Autosculpting” technology, allowing players to pimp their rides with real-world equipment in order to rule the streets.  This means that you can make the cars you create in the game in real-life, although it could cost you a fortune! With new cars, a sexy lead (Emmanuelle Vaugier follows in the footsteps of Kelly Brook and Josie Maran in previous games) and another hot EA Trax soundtrack, Need for Speed: Carbon looks set to be a big hit this Christmas.
