A flood of brilliant Xbox 360 games

Nothing used to beat the thrill of going to bed Christmas Eve, knowing the house would be transformed by morning. Then Microsoft invented Xbox, and now every week of the year brings a ‘Christmas Eve’ like never before!

Gears of War 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Viva Piñata, Banjo Kazooie, Fable

Take Microsoft Gamer’s Day 2008 for example: Cliffy B demonstrates earth-shattering new gameplay from Gears of War 2 (the footage is now on Xbox LIVE Marketplace) and GOW2 will arrive in November. We learned that only next month we’ll be playing Ninja Gaiden 2, and to see how good this is you need only watch the launch trailer also on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Here also you’ll find a Too Human trailer, Silicon Knights’ magnificent action adventure with neat RPG overtones due 29 August.

Already the latter half of 2008 is a bottle of fizz just waiting to blow its top. But there’s more, and more surprising to come. Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, sequel to last year’s family blockbuster, brings 100 new piñata species to the garden and allows for co-op adventures via Xbox LIVE. The coolest feature in the new VP is using the Xbox LIVE Vision Camera to scan in new piñata, tools and buildings from actual trading cards. Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise is here in September.

Not far behind is Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, which sees the debut of this adventurous comedy duo on Xbox 360. While exploring they’ll be able to construct an unlimited variety of amazing vehicles to zip around and solve puzzles.

And finally, for gamers who are fortune hunters at heart, Fable 2 and Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One will very shortly be providing RPG experiences of a very different nature.

It’s going to be very tough sleeping at night with this amazing haul coming so soon.
