Voice and Text Communications with Xbox 360

Manage who your child can communicate with on Xbox LIVE using voice and text. Communication on Xbox LIVE includes chat, messages, and game invites.

To configure your child's communications settings for Xbox LIVE:

1. Go to My Xbox and open System Settings.
2. Select Family Settings, Xbox LIVE Controls.
3. Enter the e-mail address and password that you used when you set up your child's Xbox LIVE account.
4. Select Privacy and Friends, Voice and Text.
5. Select Allowed, Friends Only, or Blocked.

Picture messages and video chat through the Xbox LIVE Vision camera are managed by the Video control. To configure your child's settings for video, see Video Communications for Xbox 360.
