Heaven Found: Jade’s Informer Recaps the First Big Day at E3 2006
First impressions are – 1. WOW, everything I hoped and more, 2. Overwhelming this place is a sprawling oasis of goodness, and 3. Exhasting in all the very best ways. Big Babe Deal?
Real? Well yes there are booth babes, despite all the talk of fines and bans. Are they the real deal? Depends on what we are talking about. Personally I don’t see the big deal, it’s about the games and technology. But okay, if a pretty face is there is hand me out free stuff while I oogle at the games (that’s the games people), that’s fine by me. And Club 108, the DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball babe pic is for you! Enjoy.
Jenny Loses Her Marbles
Forget about the booth babes they pale in comparison to Ms. Jenny McCarthy! Jenny was on the floor “busting out” all her mad gaming skillz as she starred in a very serious Game with Fame playing... Super Marble Blast! Yours truly scored a picture with Jenny, then she asked me out on date. I would have gone, but you know, I can only pretend for so long. Jade, I love you for bringing me!
Gears of War is SICK
Okay but honestly, we are here for the games. I had the privilege of sitting in on a closed door Gears of War demo. Of all things at E3, this, THIS game is the highlight. It’s everything they say it is and you hope it is going to be. End of story.
Hell Yeah
Brothers in Arms Hell’s Highway was another amazing show. Despite being set in the past, it screams next generation, from the sound to the “seriously most impressive graphics I have ever seen,.. EVER”, Hell’s Highway is a slice of HD heaven here at E3.
It’s a Pirate’s Life for Me!
It doesn’t stop, it just keeps coming. Little bit here, a little bit there. Everyone has something to give out. Most of it will find it’s way to a desk drawer only to be uncovered the next time I move. But every now and then you receive the ultimate schwag, so good it will take up a place on the highly exclusive “office desk” area (right by my Rubic’s Cube). Best schwag yet? This super sweet eye patch and fake mustache! Rrrrrr, I love shwag.
The Ultimate E3 Oasis
And the thing about the long first day at E3? Xbox and its kick ass Blogger Bus. Stocked with ice cold bevies, loads of delicious snacks and wireless Internet (and of course Xbox 360 Live-enabled). Thank you John, Tony and Cesar, you are seriously the best!
