You asked for it, begged and pleaded for it!  So here it is – the very first Canadian Gamer Spotlight!  And the honour goes to DapperCrane for being the most vocal about getting the Spotlight rolling.  This new father from Winnipeg, Manitoba juggles diaper changes with marathon Oblivion sessions – how does he do it?  Read on…

Jade: So DapperCrane, what does someone from smack in the middle of Canada (that would be Manitoba for any geographically challenged Americans) do for fun?

DapperCrane: I just hit 30, am married to a beautiful wife, the recent father of a possible gamer, and I currently work for the leading entertainment company in Canada.

Jade: I always consider 30 to be the last year of your twenties, 31 is when it all goes downhill – you’ve got time.  What do you do when you aren’t posting on the Xbox.com/ca forums or playing Xbox?

DC: So much to do, so little time...Balance is important. Time spent with family andfriends, watch movies, hockey, and I am currently taking up golf - so move over Tiger Woods here comes DapperCrane PGA 2010.

Jade: How long have you had your Xbox 360?

DC: I've been a proud owner of the 360 since launch & my original Xbox since Christman 2002

Jade: Now that’s what I like to hear!  What game has got you hooked right now?

DC: My favorite Xbox 360 game would have to be OBLIVION, the hours of game play this title has is unbelievable! For online BF2:MC, again there is so much you can do in this game and the fun factor is way up there. Though with the list of all the upcoming games for the rest of the year, this may change.....

Jade: In your opinion, what’s the best game of all time?

DC: Best game hmmm.... that's a hard one - I think Mario changed the way people view video games as a whole. But my fav game of all time is probably the arcade "Star Wars" by Atari. You sat in the cockpit of the X-wing and were completely immersed in the game - so cool!

Jade: X-wing eh?  I was always more of a Millenium Falcon girl myself.  Favourite all-nighter, gaming marathon snack food?

DC: Old Dutch potato chips, a Manitoba favorite! And Smarties- a must for late night gaming.

Jade: Love the Old Dutch, cheap and delicious.  Okay, favourite TV show?

DC: Trailer Park Boys. Who says there are no good Canadian shows.

Jade: Bubbles is my boy!  Now the age old question, from one fan to another, if you had to choose, Buffy or Faith?

DC: Faith - sometimes bad can be good....

Jade: It’s scary how much that says about you Dapper.  What is your desert island item, if you could only bring one thing to entertain you?

DC: Jessica Alba, that's all I'm saying.

Jade: Hey this is a family show!  Keep it rated E Dapper.  Favourite Halo 2 custom multiplayer game set up?

DC: Team Slayer any map will do. It's Halo, after all.

Jade: Slayer, when you absolutely, positively just need to frag everything in sight – a personal fav. Video game character most like you?

DC: Sonic the Hedgehog, I'm always on the go and full speed ahead!

Jade: And now our final question.  What’s the one thing you want every Canadian to know about you?

DC: I'm just a gamer trying to change the world, one game at a time! Maybe a job with Xbox would be a start. Need some company Jade?? LOL
