She’s probably one of our most requested, and talked about, gamers in the Canadian community (well next to me of course – right GeekesS?).  PMS GeekesS received a whack load of votes to become the next CGS.  For some strange reason, a bunch of you want to get to know her a little better. So without further delay, I give you PMS GeekesS… 

Jade: So I hear you just go back from PAX…how was it, any celeb sightings? Share with those of us that weren’t lucky enough to go.

GeekesS: I’ve been a member for over a year, I joined just after E3 of 2005.

Jade: Which division do you play in?

GeekesS: Currently I’m not in an active division. I’m hoping to join the Dead or Alive 4 division that is just getting its roots started in PMS. I have played on the Halo 2 and Ghost Recon: Advance Warfighter divisions. I’m just too busy to attend regular practices at the moment.

Jade: I hear it is a big commitment to be a PMS girl, it’s awesome to see the ladies taking video game competition so seriously.  So what’s your game (the one you really kick *** at)?

GeekesS: I like to think Halo 2. I’m pretty good at keeping up with the best of my friends and tend to stay near the top of the kill list in matchmaking. What can I say? I like to kill! :P

Jade: What’s your favourite thing about Xbox Live?

GeekesS: The people! I have met some of the greatest people online. The most motivated, dedicated and amazing people. No other place do I know where I can get career and boy advice all from the same network. It’s great!

Jade: What keeps you busy when you aren’t posting like mad in the Xbox forums or fragging the boys on Xbox Live?

GeekesS: I attend college full time taking Business Administration and majoring in Marketing. I also work in the R-Zone of Toys ‘R’ Us, also known as the electronics department. And I attempt to keep a mildly healthy social life.

Jade: I saw pics from the XCL Expo this past Canada day long weekend in Edmonton – what was your favourite part of the Expo and are you planning on going next year?

GeekesS: Meeting and putting faces to the people I know online – that was my favourite part. Seriously, spending a whole weekend hanging out with a bunch of Canadian gamers who just want to have a good time and game is my ideal weekend. Who wouldn’t have fun gaming on 4 large projectors, meeting people they know online, and generally goofing around for a full weekend?

Jade: I hear you sister, I love the frag-fest weekends.  What’s your favourite video game of all time?

GeekesS: Tom Clancy’s Covert Ops. It was the first time I’d ever played a first-person shooter and I loved it. I remember playing multiplayer constantly (whenever my brother wasn’t online) and having a riot. I loved sniping in that game especially standing outside of the hospital.

Jade: You do love your shooters!  Favourite Xbox 360 game?

GeekesS: Hands down: Dead or Alive 4. I’ve invested so much time into that game and I still enjoy playing it! It’s still a challenge for me and I’m trying to master it so I can beat my friends with some ease.

Jade: I love that game, and yet I wish I was better. Send me some tips GeekesS.  So as a Halo junkie, what’s your favourite Halo 2 custom multiplayer set up?

GeekesS: I love swat. Anything swat, especially shwatguns (shotguns with no shields). Running up to your opponent, shooting them in the face then running away laughing is a great feeling.

Jade: You scare me sometimes GeekesS.  Let’s change gears - favourite movie?

GeekesS: Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I’m a huge Audrey Hepburn fan and this movie is my favourite by her. I have a tendency to call everyone darling because of this movie…

Jade: This is what is so great about being a girl gamer – you can frag one minute, and watch classic girl movies the next – life is good!  Favourite TV show this fall season?

GeekesS: I think only one episode has aired this fall so far, but I’m completely addicted to Grey’s Anatomy. My mom got me hooked the last two episodes of last season and I’m about halfway through the second season… hopefully I’ll be caught up soon so I can start watching season three on a weekly basis. I *heart* Dr. McDreamy!!

Jade: If you could only bring one thing to entertain you on a desert island, what would it be?

GeekesS: Only one thing!!?? That’s so cruel! How about a large shipment of rum… that should keep me entertained for a day or so!

Jade: Last question, what’s your funniest video game moment on Xbox Live?

GeekesS: While playing Halo 2 with PMS Charlie, we were doing Major clan match Territories on Colossal. Being the hyper Charlie girls we were, we moved territory to territory as a large group saying “mine, mine, mine” over and over again as we crouched repeatedly over the bases. We did a pretty mean impression of the seagulls from Finding Nemo and ended the match saying “owned, owned, owned.”
