Epic Games, creator of the Unreal franchise of first- and third-person shooters, is bringing a raging war to Xbox 360™. Its first project for the next-generation console is Gears of War®, a futuristic third-person action game set in a post-apocalyptic war zone.

The project, led by designer Cliff Bleszinski (CliffyB to his friends), drops you on the surface of planet Sera in the midst of a struggle for survival. The once-tranquil surface of the planet is now in ruins, the result of a bitter international struggle for natural resources. Just below the scorched earth, however, lurks a threat even more dangerous than the conflict itself.

An overwhelming and horrific foe called the "Locust Horde" has started their assault on all humans. Fight alongside your comrades in the burning streets, and save humanity from certain destruction!
