A Weekend with the Stars!
During the NHL All-Star Game weekend, I scored a chance to attend the All-Star Game Jamboree in Centre Bell parking lot – set up as a true Mecca for hockey fans. Here are my three stars for the weekend:
Me going insane on the ice before the ultimate showdown
Stanley Cup : Oh yeah, the actual, genuine Stanley Cup was in Montreal at Windsor Station. You could touch it and take a picture with it – how could I resist! As expected, Canadiens’ fans were going crazy for this legendary symbol of hockey greatness that will be coming back to visit us in June. ;) GO HABS GO!!!
Enjoying the game... I know I'm deadly serious!
SuperSkills Challenge : The perfect place to get humiliated by four-year old amateur hockey players was without question the SuperSkills Challenge Zone. I must say that I am better defending myself with a joystick than a hockey stick. Still, it was cool to try to shoot the targets in the four corners of the goalie net, while trying to transform yourself into Carey Price even if just for a moment.
Menu of NHL 3 on 3 to set up my "kick-ass" team
Xbox Zone: And finally, the first star of the weekend, the most important reason I went to the Jamboree... the exclusive sneak peek at EA’s latest game, NHL 3 on 3. Available soon on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, this game is fast, funny and full of action. It’s simply awesome and will definitely please all hockey fans, even the poor Leafs supporters. The rules are simple - teams are composed of three players “bobblehead-ized” for the game. The teams compete against each other, battling it out for victory. Each player can be customized to have a special ability (speed, accuracy, strength, etc.). Oh and one more reason I loved checking out this game - the Xbox Zone was located between the pretty Bud Light ladies and a stand offering free Pogos... heaven on earth, right?! ;P
