Leaping out of the comic books and in to our games, Marvel vs Capcom 3 is taking our favourite super heroes and pitting them against the elite fighters of Capcom’s world. From Street Fighter favourites like Ryu and Chun Li to more bizarre characters like Viewtiful Joe and Arthur of Ghosts ‘N Gobins, Marvel vs Capcom 3 has got a lot of characters to choose from.
I’ve been fortunate enough to get a sneak preview of the game and have already picked out a few favourite teams. But, I’m not the only one with an opinion on the ultimate squad; the Xbox.ca Community has a few things to say about their ultimate fighters too.

Wolverine, Ryu, Captain America
I love being able to come out of the gate swinging with Wolverine’s Berserker Claw attacks. He’s so fast that my opponents rarely know how to respond before I’ve already whittled away their life bars. By the time they do finally get a clue and start their counter-attack I can easily switch to Captain America whos Shield Slash and Charging Star attacks make him the best all-around fighter on my team. However, when it’s time to finish things off I’m happy to call in my heavy hitter. I’ve been playing Street Fighter since I was a kid, so I’ve got my Shoryuken combos ready to go. Toss in his screen-filling Shinku-Hadoken hyper attack and it is Game Over. Who’s got next?

Dormammu, Doctor Doom, Super Skrull
I’ve been a fan of the VS series for quite some time now, and over time you develop your favorite characters. Up until MvC3 my team always consisted of Blackheart, Juggernaut, and Shuma Gorath. Now that two-thirds of my team isn’t available, it's time to switch it up. Until Shuma Gorath becomes available as DLC, my team will be Dormammu, Doctor Doom, and Super Skrull.
Why these guys? Dormammu based off the fact that I used to love reading Dr. Strange comics when I was younger. Super Skrull is a combination of the Fantastic 4, and what he offers in the game should be fun and challenging to use. Finally, if there is anyone who in the Marvel canon summarizes what it means to be a villain, it's Doctor Doom. The guy consistently has to deal with the Richards family, and everything he does is based around this idea that he is in the right.
As for Shuma, as soon as I heard his taunt in MvC2 'Waste of flesh', I knew he was right up my alley.

Deadpool, Zero, Spider-Man
The reasons are rather simple; Deadpool's level 3 Hyper combo has him beat people to death with his own life bar! That alone sells it for me. I can also say that while Deadpool is one of my favorite Marvel characters, Spider-Man is my favorite Marvel character.
The reason for Zero is a little less simple, Mega Man is my favorite Capcom character but sadly he will not make an appearance unless he’s released as DLC. Even though I have never played any of the Mega Man X games, Zero is the closest character to Mega Man. My first experience with Zero was in his Marvel vs. Capcom 3 spotlight video which I found amazing; I sometimes creep back to watch it every now and then. Now unfortunately for Mega Man, if he does appear as DLC I might be less inclined to use him since Zero might have already taken top mantle.

Amaterasu, Chun Li, Sentinel
First I choose Amaterasu, I think she's pretty well rounded. She's fast which makes good for combos and getting to different parts of the screen. Her Hyper Combo is a pretty powerful three element move which looks pretty and deals a lot of damage. Chun-Li and I go way back so I had to reserve a spot for her on my team. Her Hyakuretsukyaku move does deadly damage and goes straight into her Kikosho Hyper Combo which is great when you're getting rushed down. Last -- but definitely not least -- I use Sentinel. He's a bit slow, but he makes up for it in strength and he makes a good addition to my team because I find him easy to use which is great.
