Migration Central

Xbox Live members for the original Xbox video game system who want to go online using their Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system need to activate their current membership the first time they connect to Xbox Live using the Xbox 360 system.

When you migrate your existing Xbox Live account information to your Xbox 360 console, you're not creating an additional membership—you're simply adding to the one you already have. You'll keep your gamertag, your friends list, and other key information. And you'll have full Xbox Live Gold privileges for the remainder of your membership period.

Still want to play on your original Xbox system? No problem. As long as you maintain the same gamertag, you can play on both the original Xbox and the Xbox 360 systems using the same Xbox Live membership.

Setup 2: Migrate after creating a Gamer Profile
