You can make the following routers work with Xbox Live. These workarounds include: - Selecting an IP address for your Xbox that is not within the range of DHCP addresses your router gives out automatically.
- Assigning that selected IP address to your router's DMZ setting.
- Configuring your Xbox to use the selected manual IP address.
Each workaround is provided below: Determine the current range of IP Addresses
- Log in using the default username: admin and password: password.
The Netgear settings screen appears. - On the left navigation bar, below Advanced, click LAN IP Setup.
- In the Use Router as DHCP Server area of the screen, note the numbers at the end of the starting and ending IP addresses.
The manual (also known as static)IP address you set must be a number that is outside the current range. For example, if the range is 192.168.0.02 to192.168.0.51, you could choose to assign 192.168.0.99 as the IP address for your Xbox. Assign your Xbox IP Address - On the left navigation bar, below Security, click Rules.
- In the Rules screen, make sure Default DMZ server is checked.
There should be no numbers at the end ofthe IP Address. - Set your IP address as 192.168.0.99.
- Click Apply.
- Close the browser window and reboot your router.
Configure your Xbox console with the static IP Address - In the Xbox Dashboard, set upyour IP address as follows:

- On the left panel, click Ports. Enter your new IP address below Server IP Address.
