How to change audio settings

If you are using DTS (Digital Theater System), Dolby® Surround, or Dolby® Digital, make sure you turn on your audio settings on the Xbox dashboard.

To configure your audio settings:

1. Start your Xbox console with no disk in the disk tray.
2. On the Xbox dashboard, use the Directional pad (D-pad) to scroll to the Settings option (the bottom option on the first dashboard screen).
3. Press the A button to select Settings.
4. Select Audio (the third option down). A picture of two speakers appears to the left.
5. Select the type of audio you want to use.
6. When prompted with the question, "Does your system support [name of audio]?", click Yes.

Note: You must have either the Advanced AV Pack to use the digital options.
