How to change the split screen mode when playing Halo 2

In split screen mode, you can switch the game screen between vertical (left/right) and horizontal (top/down) by switching the video settings in the Xbox Dashboard from Wide Screen to Normal.

To switch between Wide Screen and Normal modes:

1. Remove the game disc from the disc tray.
   
   
2. Restart the Xbox with no disc in the disc tray and wait for the Xbox Dashboard to load.
   
   
3. From the main menu of the Xbox Dashboard, select Settings, and then press the A button.
   
   
4. In the Settings menu, select Video, and then press the A button.
   
   
5. Choose one of the following video modes:
   
   
   
   • In the Video Setting menu, choose Normal to set the Halo 2 split screen mode to horizontal.

   • In the Video Setting menu, choose Wide Screen to set the Halo 2 split screen mode to vertical.
     
     
     
6. Press A to complete the selection.
   
   
7. Press B to return to the Xbox Dashboard.
