Ghost Recon - Problem Connecting to Session or Poor Game Performance

There are a couple of known issues you may encounter when you play Ghost Recon online:

  • Some sessions you join may suffer from "lag."(Lag is the poor gameplay experience caused by high latency between your Xbox console and the Xbox console that created the session)
  • When you attempt to connect to a session, it may take up to three minutes and then fail.

It's possible to encounter these problems even if your high-speed Internet service is performing well. Please do not contact your high-speed Internet Service Provider (ISP) for support with these issues. Instead, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Try joining different sessions until you find one with acceptable performance.
  • If you are unable to join a session, back out and refresh your game sessions to make sure you have the best chance of connecting to an open game.
  • For best results, make sure that another device in your home, such as a PC, is not sharing your Internet connection when you play Ghost Recon online.

Ghost Recon will correctly warn you if you attempt to create a session that allows more players to join than your high-speed Internet connection can reliably support. If you choose to ignore this warning, players joining your session may experience lag. If you want to be able to reliably create sessions with more players, your high-speed Internet provider may offer a higher level of service that provides more bandwidth.
