The Xbox Live® family zone is a place where parents can feel at ease that their children are in a safe playing area, in which they'll compete and play against other children. In the family zone you can expect no mature language, no trash talking, no super-competitive egos, and no bashing because of age.

Everyone gets along in the family zone and plays well together.

Who are Family Gamers? Family gamers are parents that want a safe place where they can play games online with their kids.

Family gamers are kids who need a place where they can play age-appropriate games without being hassled about their age.

Family gamers watch movies that are mostly rated G. And potentially PG. They appreciate films released by Disney and other companies that make kids' films.

Family gamers dig watching the Disney Channel and Cartoon Network.

Family gamers are cautious when purchasing games, because they want to make sure the content matches their family values.

Family gamers are usually in elementary school, but could potentially be in the first years of middle school. Or they may be parents, other relatives, or friends of such gamers.

Family gamers play card games like Yui-Gi-Oh and Pokemon. Magic is a card game that is still in the distant future.

When playing with another family gamer, it's very likely you'll hear, in the background, "Johnny, its time for dinner. Can you please turn of your Xbox and come set the table?"

Family gamers listen to Kelly Clarkson, Hillary Duff, and other good-natured artists.

Family gamers don't own a lot of games, but the games they do own they play regularly. The titles are normally Rated G - General, but you can expect there to be a couple of carefully chosen Teen games in the mix.
