Midtown Madness 3
is the racing game that just keeps on giving. First, the developers at Digital Illusions CE (DICE) dropped wicked new cars like the classically styled Ambassador and the sleek R4000 into our hands via a free Xbox Live update. Now they’re lavishing us with a second download pack that gives MM3 fanatics 20 new race courses—10 Checkpoint and 10 Blitz.

Mad Tracks
You’ll need to be at the top of your game for the new MM3courses (you can only get to Blitz 11 by beating the 10 original Blitz courses, for example), but the rewards are sweet. Check out the final Blitz challenge of the update, which the developers have nicknamed “the mother of all Blitz races.” This race is absolutely huge, boasting a mighty 54 checkpoints. Compare that to the longest Blitz race in the original game—the 28-checkpoint race in D.C.—and you can see what I mean.

The streets of Paris and Washington, D.C., had better send out for more asphalt …
