Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

By xXFreeekXx

WHAT DO YOU WANT????     “GUITAR HERO 3”

I CANT HEAR YOU!!!!     “GUITAR HERO 3”

ONCE MORE!!!!    “GUITAR HERO 3”

Get ready to release your inner rock legend as you walk on stage in this year’s new title that has taken thousands by the pick, yes, you know it, Guitar Hero 3

Activision, with publisher MTV games have done a brilliant job at making the third installment of the franchise a huge success…From scratch. Guitar Hero 3 keeps everything the original games had, with added awesomeness. This time round, it isn’t just about progressing through a game with an encore every few songs, no, this time there is much more. They have now introduced Boss Battles, in where you vs them in a shredding contest and use attacks against each other to wipe them out, the two rock legends you vs in this game include Tom Morello, from Rage against the Machine and Slash, from Guns ‘n’ Roses. There is also a third battle in which you vs the Devil, with the name ‘lou’, in which you play the song ‘The Devil Went Down To Georgia’, was done on the fiddle, originally created by the Charlie Daniels Band a few centuries back, funnily enough, the song is about a battle between a farm boy named Johnny and the Devil about a golden fiddle. Play as Johnny Napalm and this song will fit perfectly into the storyline very well. (lol)

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

Yes, that is right, Guitar hero actually has a proper storyline now, in which you and your band make your way to the top, they even include little animations in between the 8 set lists, introducing the new venue, and your band popularity.

Beaten the game on Expert and 5 starred every single song??? Well it is time to tell your friend to put down Viva Piñata and to play in your band as you shred with your mate to the top, just like in single player. Except that co-op career even has its own storyline, and its own unique encores, (SICK).

Activision really have worked their ****s off to make you feel like you are on stage.  Just watching the singer mouth every word in the song absolutely perfectly, with the bassist and the drummer also, it is almost scary on how realistic this game really is, and that still is not all the info, Activision has changed the Hammer on/Pull off system. In the previous guitar hero games, if a note was close enough, it was able to be ‘Hammered on’ or ‘Pulled off’, In Guitar Hero 3, they have made it like the Original songs, if this note here could be HO/PO on real guitar, you can HO/PO the note in the game. It’s just to make you feel a little bit more like a true Rockstar.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

Enough of offline play, we now come to the feature that all Guitar Hero Fan’s have been waiting for, online play. There are four different ‘modes’ in which you verse or cooperatively play with, the four modes include ‘Face off’, which has been in every guitar hero game, in this mode, two players choose a different, or the same difficulty, and you play through the song, which all the notes have been split up between the two players, the person with the highest score at the end wins, though if someone is on expert, and someone is on easy, they make it fair by having the person on expert difficuly get less score for the notes they hit, so the person on easy has a chance.

The next game mode is ‘Pro Face off’, this is almost identical to standard ‘face off’, except both players are ALWAYS on the same difficulty, and they play all the notes. The third mode is Battle, this is the same type in which you verse the bosses in career, and the Fourth is Co-op, Where someone plays Lead and the other plays Bass/Rhythm. The only downside to online play is actually trying to connect to game, the only chance you ever have is to create your own, or search a custom match, because the quick match button never seems to work.

This game is a blast at parties, and with over 70 songs and a lot of DLC already here and on the way, Guitar Hero 3 is a must to all fans of Rock Lovers out there, no questions asked.
