Red Dead Revolver Review

By UndercoverIdiot

Read Dead Revolver must be one of the more ambitious well planned games I've played in a while. From the old western feel to the gun slinging, everything is done superbly and correctly. The story is classic, as you roam the Wild West as a bounty hunter in search of revenge. You'll tackle bad guys, stop train robberies, and basically live the life of a cowboy. Who in there right mind wouldn't want that.

STORY:
Another typical Rockstar Game story. People come and kill your family, and you seek revenge on the man that did it. But this game does it with style, it makes you really want to capture the man that killed your family, so it does get you hooked storyline-wise.

Graphics:
Pretty good, the environments look good, the character models are pretty solid, and you actually feel like there with the main character

SOUND:
The music fits the game perfectly, and the gun noises are well done. The voice acting isn't that great, but it gets the job done fairly well. Good job with sound.
8/10

CONTROLS:
The controls feel good with the game, it all feels in place. It only takes about 5 minutes to master the controls, so it is a very easy game to get into.
9/10

FUN:
The multiplayer isn't great, but it isn't bad. It would have been great if they added co-op, or Xbox Live to fight against other people. Story mode is pretty fun though, but it does tend to get a bit boring the more you play it.
7/10

REPLAYABILTY:
There isn't really much going back to the game after you beat it. But the game is fairly short, and when you beat it there is a bounty hunter mode to do special tasks through all the levels you cleared. You might go back and play multiplayer here and there, but other than that, that’s about it.
6/10

OVERALL:
If you like the whole wild west, cowboy thing, then this game is definitely for you. You feel like you are in there with all the detail they put in it. I would have liked to have seen some XboxLive in there, maybe some co-op and if they gave you the freedom element, it would have been an awesome game. But other than that, you have yourself a solid action adventure title on your hands. But this game might not be for everyone, it may be smart to rent before you buy.
8.5/10
