Start your engines on the big screen this May

Hoyts and Xbox partner to offer hot-rod heaven with an exclusive sneak peek at “Forza Motorsport 2”

Car enthusiasts and Xbox® gamers take note, Microsoft is taking gaming to the big screen with the “Forza Motorsport® 2” Big Screen Challenge in conjunction with Hoyts cinemas. Set to take place on 23 May, register at www.xbox.com.au/bigscreenchallenge to get an exclusive first look at “Forza Motorsport 2” weeks before it hits retail shelves around the country.

Feel the true exhilaration of racing as the big screen and surround sound put you on the tracks. See your favourite cars larger than life in this ultimate racing experience as the finalists battle it out on the Hoyts big screen to win big prizes. The tournament will take a single elimination format to narrow the field down to a final eight players. One lucky winner will win $5000 cash along with a limited edition Forza Motorsport 2 airbrushed Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system and three Xbox 360 games.  Prizes available to other winners include Xbox 360 games, cash and an Xbox 360 console.

With more than 300 car models from upwards of 50 of the world’s leading manufacturers, “Forza Motorsport 2” allows automotive enthusiasts to collect the cars they want and customise them to reflect their racing passion. Featuring full customisable models from amazing brands such as Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini, “Forza Motorsport 2” is set to hit stores on 14 June.

The first 400 registered attendees to arrive at the event will also be treated to a screening of the upcoming movie “28 Weeks Later”. Due in cinemas on May 10, “28 Weeks Later” is the follow up to the hugely successful thriller “28 Days Later”. Featuring Australian actress Rose Byrne, the film takes place six months after the rage virus was inflicted on the population of the British Isles. The US Army helps to secure a small area of London for the survivors to repopulate and start again. But not everything goes to plan.
