Tell us a bit about your website. MyGEN is a few years old now and we’re slowly building the site up to focus even more on what the community wants. If you’re after a good review, getting the latest news or you want to compete in a competitive competition then you’ve found the right site. We also have Australia’s largest and most active Xbox 360 Clan Ladders at our old domain AussieXbox.net. Each day we see an average of 10 clan matches being played and currently have 827 Active Australian teams battling it out to have the top spot on one of our many ladders. We love the xbox community and we try to have something for everyone when you come to our site. What does being a part of the Xbox Community mean to you? It means a great deal to be a part of such an active community. No matter where I go it’s very easy to find Xbox gamers chatting about their favourite games or what’s on the horizon. I think that Xbox Live is such an awesome service that it really makes it easy to have such a good community. The Xbox guys are a lot more relaxed and laid back and they have to one of the friendliest communities I’ve ever been in, in all my gaming years. This makes me, as well as new people jumping onto online gaming feel much more welcome then other platforms I’ve played on. Who are some of your main Xbox Live mates who you game with often and why? Roach AU – He’s another MyGEN owner with me, we chat a lot about the industry in general, we have similar tastes and we’re both from Penrith. We also jump online a lot to figure out some of our tournament settings and chat about what we can do for the community and how we can make our site even better for the community. We also love to play co-op in games like Halo 3. LiL Hep and Mini HeP – My Little Bro’s, having Xbox Live is a great way to catch up with family and we give each other a hard time in most cases. We’re all very competitive and always looking to beat each others scores. Put us in the same team and we’re pretty good too. What is your favourite feature of the Xbox 360 and why? Xbox Live for sure. It keeps me in touch with my friends and family no matter how far away they are. I’m a pretty relaxed laid back kind of guy and I just love jumping in with any one of my online friends for a game and a catch up. Who are your hardest opponents in your main Xbox Live games? That’s really hard, I play with a lot of people and there are some awesome players on all different games. I play with some clan guys frequently and these guys put my skills to the test. Walwals and Bearhug78 are pretty good opponents on Rainbow Six Vegas and Call of Duty 4. JJMeh, Macsta and Trancevib can give me a run for my money at times. What is a game you really enjoy but aren’t very good at? What has been your favourite gaming moment on the Xbox 360 thus far? Wow this is a hard one, It would have to be the late nights staying up playing with my good friend Shamus, playing until 3am in the morning eating pizza and enjoying ourselves in Rainbow Six Vegas and most recently Call of Duty 4. He hasn’t got an Xbox 360 yet and having him over to spend some long sessions on the box and having a good old chin wag couldn’t be more fun. It’s a great thing to be able to jump on your Xbox and kill some hours with all the fun the Xbox has to offer. The other moment would have to be at this year’s GAME1 in Sydney. We ran the tournament and it was a huge success. 200 Xbox 360 gamers battled it to win some big prize money. As the event organisers we really spent some time improving the finals layout by changing it to a double elimination series. To see Team Best BR against Team Complex in the Halo 3 finals to win by one point just sent shivers up my spine. Easily the best competitive game I’ve ever witnessed. What are a few of the games you’re looking forward to in 2008? GTA IV for sure, this game will be surely the biggest game being released next year. I’ve always been a huge fan of GTA and I’m sure GTA Iv is going to blow me away. Alan Wake is looking great and I can’t wait to see more of that. Resident Evil 5 looks insane also and after seeing the recent film it’s once again captured my interest. I’m also keen to see more on Ninja Gaiden 2 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. |
