The Xbox 360 is here and what a ride we’re about to embark on. This console seriously rocks - there’s no doubt about it. One of the things that will really come to attention with the release of the Xbox 360 is the new Gamerscore system. Everyone, once they throw their first game into the tray will soon become aware of the Gamerscore system and will soon want to know how they’re going compared to their friends, foes and the rest of the country. It’s easily one of the best new systems put in place that make playing your Xbox that much more enjoyable - one of the best features of the new Xbox 360. Every single Xbox 360 Live Arcade and Xbox 360 game has achievements. Generally Xbox Live Arcade titles have a total possible Gamerscore of 200 and the normal games usually have around 1000. No matter if you’re offline or online you can earn achievements in a particular game that increase your Gamerscore. Think of achievements as a way of indicating your current ability, progress and special accomplishments in a particular Xbox 360 game. By completing certain goals in the game that you play you can earn bragging rights against your friends or amongst whole communities in being the first to finish a certain game 100%, the only person to unlock many of the impossible achievements or to have the highest Gamerscore.
